Chipboard screws 4.0 x 30 partial thread

A 4.0 × 30 mm partial thread chipboard screw is used for fastening light to medium-duty sheet materials to wooden constructions.

Typical applications:

• Mounting MDF boards onto battens
• Fixing OSB panels to wooden frames
• Securing chipboard to slats or beams
• Interior construction and furniture assembly

The 30 mm length is suitable when the top material is approximately 9–12 mm thick.

Choose 30 mm when:

• The sheet material is thinner
• You do not want to screw too deeply into the substructure
• You want to reduce the risk of splitting

In softwood, pre-drilling is usually not necessary.
In hardwood, a pilot hole is recommended to:

• Prevent splitting
• Make driving the screw easier
• Avoid screw breakage

These screws use a Torx TX20 (T20) bit.
