EZ-copper brass compression nut 1/4inch x 6mm

Description

This compression nut is used for mounting (copper) pipes on threaded fittings. Suitable for heating installations and water pipes.

EZ compression nuts are suitable for mounting copper pipes on threaded fittings. The compression nut consists of 3 parts: compression nut, clamping ring and the gasket. It is supplied completely assembled for subsequent easy connection to the pipe.

Assembly Instructions:

Cut the pipe perpendicularly. The pipe should be free of scratches and loose burrs. Push the support sleeve into the pipe. A support sleeve must be used (soft, semi-rigid pipes). Screw the compression nut onto the pipe section by hand. Push the pipe as far as possible into the clamping sleeve (if present). Slide the pipe without stopping in at least the length of the nut.

CAUTION! The flat surface of the tube section must be turned flat and free of bumps. Tighten nut 1 turn with tools (does not apply to thick-walled pipes). Then loosen the nut (1/4 turn) to de-energize the coupling. Tighten the nut against the pipe section so that a seal is obtained between the gasket and the pipe section.

ATTENTION! Check the tightness after assembly!
